As a Senior Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the integration of shop floor equipment with IT (Information technology) and OT (Operational technology) systems across various domains. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the efficient flow of data from the shop floor to the enterprise level.
Working alongside a team of experts, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing the necessary middleware setup to facilitate data transfer. This will involve defining data points based on specific business requirements and industry best practices. In addition, you will oversee the configuration of end-to-end interfaces and conduct thorough interface qualification processes. Your goal will be to establish and maintain operational stability throughout the integration process.
Your role will be instrumental in enabling the effective integration of shop floor equipment with IT and OT systems, ensuring accurate and reliable data availability at the enterprise level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive IT/OT solution/service designs based on business requirements.
  • Implement and integrate IT/OT solutions within the assigned area.
  • Ensure design and implementation adhere to stability, scalability, and GxP requirements.
  • Provide operational support to manufacturing sites for global IT/OT solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for IT/OT solutions, services, and processes.
  • Design, develop, deliver, and qualify IT/OT system solutions and their integration for projects.
  • Execute project activities in line with lifecycle, budget, schedule, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver technical solutions to manufacturing sites.
  • Facilitate peer reviews and obtain business sign-off for detailed designs.
  • Maintain stable operations for implemented global IT/OT solutions and support audits if necessary.

Essential Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of technical experience in delivering global solutions to the customers, preferably in the area of automation engineering in manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of automation technologies and software platforms (e.g. SCADA, Historian, MES, Track and Trace)
  • Knowledge of industry standards and protocols for communication and data exchange in manufacturing operations (e.g. OPC, MQTT).
  • Understanding of manufacturing operations and processes.
  • Project management experience, including planning, executing, and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget 
  • Fluent English
  • Digital Savy

Desired Requirements:

  • Working experience in a GxP environment is an advantage.
